This is a very wide-area coverage repeater. It is possible to use .94 west to the Continental Divide, south to Colorado Springs, east to Limon, and north to Cheyenne.

The repeater is available for general use except at established net times and when it is utilized by Skywarn to assist the National Weather Service in tracking severe weather during the spring and summer months.  A formal net condition is indicated by the periodic transmission of a WX in Morse code. When you hear this, the encode subaudible tone will change on the 146.94 repeater to include the 91.5 Hz tone. The 103.5 Hz or the 91.5 Hz subaudible tones can then be used to access the repeaters.

.94 can also be linked to the 449.450 MHz repeater for nets or emergency communications.
